This function makes a series of histograms for data input to vimes.

Arguments

x
a vimes_data object, as returned by vimes_data
y
left for compatibility with the generic 'plot'
col
colors to be used for the histograms
n
the number of histograms displayed per window
which
an integer vector indicating which distances to plot
...
further arguments passed on to hist
